Position: Part-Time Medical Front Desk Receptionist (Wednesdays, Fridays, + Flexible Day)
Job Summary
The Part-Time Medical Front Desk Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring efficient clinic
operations through essential administrative and front desk support. This position will manage front
desk duties including patient intake, appointment scheduling, and administrative coordination
while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. The role also includes support for financial
tasks and general operations such as managing records, assisting with billing and deposits, and
stepping in for other administrative roles as needed.
Work Details
- Required Days: Wednesdays and Fridays
- Additional Day: One flexible weekday to be agreed upon
- Hours: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Work Setting: In-person, outpatient clinic
- Location: Shady Grove, Rockville, MD
- Pay Rate: $17- $20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
Total Weekly Hours: 24 hours (3 days)
Key Accountabilities
Front Desk Operations
- Manage daily front desk activities, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality
customer service. - Greet patients and visitors, respond to inquiries, and direct them appropriately.
- Schedule appointments using the eCW system in coordination with the Clinic
Managing Director and Providers. - Support patient intake processes and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation
in eCW. - Maintain compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations.
- Provide general support for eCW and SharePoint system operations.
Financial and Administrative Support
- Assist with front desk financial tasks including bank deposits and payment
reconciliation. - Record and maintain financial records for clinic-funded services.
- Provide back-up support for other administrative staff as needed.
- Submit work orders and coordinate maintenance for office space and equipment.
- Maintain organized front desk records and up-to-date Montgomery Cares
documentation. - Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Managing Director or supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This is a non-management position reporting to the Clinic Managing Director.
Minimum Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication required).
- Two years of experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business, and related fields.
- Experience in clinical operations, particularly with Montgomery Cares or similar
programs. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and eCW.
- Experience in financial record-keeping and administrative support.

Preferred Qualifications
- Medical office experience or medical assistant certificate
