The Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) offers no-cost professional, one-on-one financial counseling to help Gaithersburg residents address their financial challenges and plan for their future. It is a free public service for residents living in zip codes 20877, 20878, 20879.
Financial issues can be complicated, and sometimes people need to sit down one-on-one with a professional to get help. FEC Counselors work with clients to assess their finances and create a customized plan to work on issues such as improving credit scores, paying down debt, creating a savings plan, and finding safe and affordable banking products. Counselors work with residents over time to achieve financial goals and build a stronger future.
Appointments are available virtually and in person, and are available in multiple languages. Call 240-454-5199 or go to FEC Appointment Request (force.com) to schedule a consultation. The Financial Empowerment Center is a partnership between the City of Gaithersburg, Housing Initiative Partnership and Cities for Financial Empowerment.
